DU Anime Afternoon

Highlands Regional Library held its second Anime Afternoon, April 14, 2018.  Beginning with a game of rock, paper, and scissors youth discussed the difference between U.S. typical school lunchtimes and how Japanese lunches are conducted.  (Did you know very few people take their lunch to school in Japan and they aren’t allowed to eat sweets and junk food with their lunch? Imagine that!)  Teens also took a food quiz to see how much they knew about various Japanese dishes.  Then Danielle Christensen, one of our P/T Associates, did a chibi art tutorial for the teens.  This was followed with making candy sushi while watching Dragon Ball Super.  Beverly Mason said, "We had a total of 15 for this program."
