Whole Lotta Fun Going On At SOM

SOM Library Associate Christie Rogers reports, "Cook-a-Book: Soccer was held on June 29th with 34 participants. Above, Mrs. Crafton and teen volunteers Colleen Mackin and Sarah Swain are demonstrating with balloons how soccer players will bounce soccer balls on their heads. The kids had a great time bouncing their balloons and seeing who could last the longest.

"At left, children are making Pão de Queijo, Brazillian cheese bread and learning how to make the dough; afterward, they took the dough home to bake.  Samples of the bread were available, too.

"Below, fourteen kids attended Swara Soundscapes, June 30th. Attendees had fun with the interactive concert and the presenter, Arvid Smith, played children’s songs and incorporated the children’s names into the songs. (The children loved that.) He also asked two children and summer worker Zarria Harrison to help play instruments during one of his songs."
"A young girl is pictured below who attended our Read to Rover program. Collies, Trey and Shelly, came ready for the Fourth of July holiday, (Shelly wears the hat.)  We had seventeen children and their families stop by to read and pet the dogs."
