For eight weeks during the summer, Webb
Wesconnett Branch decorated their children’s reference desk each week in themes representing different countries corresponding with the summer reading theme, "One World, Many Stories": Mexico (right), Brazil's r
ain forest, Egypt ( left), Australia's coral reefs, Hawaii, USA, H
olland, Russia, and China. To set the mood, staff played movies and made book displays depicting the country of the week. Children had to get their passports stamped each week for the different countries they visited.
