FJPL President Harry Reagan congratulated Sharon Futch and all of the BOOKtique volunteers. The BOOKtique opened November 12, 2005, when the new Main Library opened.
"The BOOKtique is an important part of our ongoing efforts to raise money for the Library," Mr. Reagan said. "Jeanine Peterson (former FJPL President) and the FJPL Board deserve credit for bold, creative thinking."
Mr. Reagan said the BOOKtique offers a year-round opportunity to find book bargains, as well as unique gifts.
Helping keep the BOOKtique open 53 plus hours per week are: Omari Daniels, Jackie Delk, Terri Hudson, Sally Kenaston, Cynthia Murray, Jackie Nash, Joyce Patten, Marti Pounder, Gara Roberts, Byron Rocher, Jennifer Simpson, Nitya Sivasubramanian, Bettye Stilley, and Estelle Vickery.
Soon, the Library will receive another FJPL check -- money from the Great Jacksonville Book Sale, Saturday Morning Bookstore and online book sales.
