Take A Bow for Your United Way Support

Jacksonville Public Library employees have rallied and we closed out the United Way drive successfully.  Our employees donated $18,251.00.  (Library Director Barbara Gubbin is amongst the biggest supporters of United Way.)

Tricia Larrabee coordinated for branches and Sandra Lockley assisted her.  Tamara Crotts coordinated for all the Main Library departments.  They could not have done so well without the cooperation of the branch and department UW representatives.  Great teamwork, dedication, and accuracy helped us conclude this campaign a day ahead of schedule and with an increase of $3,647.27 over our last UW Campaign in 2010.

The City sponsors a city wide staff sale each year for UW, and this year Hazzel Sutton brought in a small store for JPL to sell at the Hemming Plaza Sale, April 27, and Tamara worked hard with her to sell, sell, sell. Jennifer Martinez also had a special event sale for Center for Adult Learning.

Our UW reps and JPL employees who gave to United Way deserve a round of applause.  Your continued support and caring for this community effected a $3,647.27 increase over 2010.
