Here is a photo of the results of the School Age Art Program that DeLon Rowan, Library Assistant at Argyle Branch, led children to create last week. They used recycled foam packing from light fixtures, parts from a keyboard, and other materials to create a baby "robot" and dubbed it “Baby Bot”. DeLon designed the program to conform with the Florida Library Youth Program theme, "Be Creative @ Your Library". In this program, children developed pre-literacy (cognitive and physical skills) while creating three dimensional pieces such as Baby Bot. (Click on the picture to get a larger view of "Baby Bot".)
