Notes from Collection Development:

Are your customers still interested in the New York Times Bestseller lists? Do they want to know a bit more about the titles on the list? Perhaps they are interested in what other readers think of the titles? Maybe you don’t have enough hours in your day to keep up with all of the latest popular titles and want a quick way to stay current…

Well there is a new mash up you may want to investigate and pass along to customers.

It’s called Reading Radar: http://readingradar.com/. The creator, John Herren, has won awards for his mash ups. Reading Radar combines the NYT bestseller lists, Amazon’s customer written reviews and Amazon’s star rating system. So if you, or a customer, want to know more than just the spot a title occupies on the bestseller list, take a look at Reading Radar.

Also keep in mind that you can find the bestseller lists with links to our catalog holdings by going to “Resources for Readers/Hot Titles at the Library” on the library’s website.
