The theme of this beautiful mural is 'Start Here. Go Anywhere!' It is a public art piece commissioned by Regions Bank. The bank has donated the mural to the library and the City. The artist, Pamela Miller, has extensive experience as a muralist and is a regular customer at Argyle. The mural is located on the rounded wall above the picture books in the children’s department. In preparation, she primed the wall and chose latex wall paint, which can easily be washed. Ms Miller began work on the project on December 8 and the expected date of completion is January 9. You are invited to come and enjoy this delightful new addition of art at the Argyle Branch Library.

From the artist: It is nice to hear the young children comment on the mural as I am painting. I have heard from Christopher "I like that one and that one and that one" and from to others and their comment were "That's Beautiful" and "that's gorious." My response was "It's created especially for you!"
