...all the wonderful people at Kori Road Library.

A Challenge the Process Award went to Hannah Bedenbaugh, (L), a two year P/T Library Associate in Special Collections, for leading the effort to weed 25% of Government Documents in Main's Special Collections. This allowed room for the incoming Florida Times-Union collection. She developed a set of innovative procedures for the entire department and put in place a highly efficient process that will be replicated for future Special Collections projects.
John Wilson, (L), a fourth year librarian in Main's Special Collections, won an Enable Others to Act Award because he helped two recent high school graduates form a book club. They wanted a forum to discuss local history and connect the events of history to today. John guided the two young men through the process so they could assume ownership. Now their book club, called "The Perspective", meets biweekly in Special Collections.

Lucinda Santino, a Library Clerk at Mandarin Branch,
received a Job Well Done Award, October 7, 2019, from KR Manager Mark Hohnadel. He said, "Lucinda has unique and energetic ways of
marketing books to our customers. Lucinda keeps books stocked at
the circulation desk with check-me-out slips in them to spark interest.
The books are really moving and getting checked out by customers. Additionally, she has created library displays which
have been very popular."

Hongying Song shares, "PCR hosted Jonathan Sandbach’s second annual Pumpkin
Decoration program, October 30, 2019, and 60 participants decorated pumpkins and took them home after the event.
On October 31, PCR’s Treat-or-Trick Spooktacular attracted 181
participants. YS staff decorated a world-class haunted house, set up a
scary sensory table in addition to the pumpkin and mummy crafts. Both
customers and staff had a fun Halloween. Here is a nice compliment
from one of the participants who brought her kids to both programs. (Thanks to
YS staff who created the props and presented the October 31st program: Casey Cassese, David Humphries, Bridgette
King, and Mandy Elliot.)"

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of me as I experienced (and continue to experience) the loss of my parents. The pats, the hugs, the cards and the desk coverages, and just all the ways you’ve expressed your condolences. It has meant a great deal to me and I appreciate all of you.
Sincerely,
Martha Smith

I would like to thank everyone who donated leave to me during my absence. I wish I could thank each of you personally, but unfortunately I am unable to know the names of all who donated time. So, I just would like to say thank you so much; it really means a lot to me.
With much love and appreciation,
To the JPL Family: I wish to thank each and every one of you for your caring responses during my time of need. For those who were not aware, time was needed for surgery and recovery from breast cancer. I want you to know that all donated leave, words of encouragement, random acts of kindness and those beautiful smiles are appreciated.
I am a breast cancer survivor as a result of God’s Grace and an early detection of the cancer. May I suggest that each of you, if you have not already done so, take time to schedule health screenings of any kind knowing that these can be lifesaving methods for you.
To God be the glory for the things he has done. I am now free of cancer and want to say again that I appreciate what you did for me. Not knowing who my time donors were, I am not able to give individual hugs; collectively to the JPL Family I say THANK YOU a million times over.
Denise Thomas, JPL’s Center for Adult Learning at Main.
Thank you to everyone who donated leave to me while I was on FMLA. It means so much to me to know you donated your leave to me to help make my recovery a little less stressed. I wanted to send a personal thank you to all of you but TAS only has the names of the employees whose leave they used for me. Please know that I appreciate the leave donation and all the good thoughts and vibes sent my way.
Thank you.
